Small cell collocations on buildings, utility poles, outside light structures, transmission structures and in the public rights-of-way are key to 5G and other new technologies. Working with Duke Energy, PeakNet can provide carriers with small cell solutions on desirable real estate at hundreds of thousands of locations. Our knowledge and experience safely working in and around utility structures enables us to offer a greater speed to market.
Collocation on existing utility light structures can be faster and less expensive than traditional siting solutions. We offer complete turnkey services including site identification, managing jurisdictional needs and rights-of-way, and the construction and installation process with quick turnaround times and maintenance once equipment is in place.
PeakNet coordinates with Duke Energy’s Joint Use Team to replace existing wood poles with alternate distribution small cell friendly poles. We provide antenna mounting on top of the poles with a separate stub pole for meter, carrier equipment and/or ground furniture placements.
Transmission structures offer the opportunity for collocations in challenging siting areas where few other options exist. We offer collocation below the conductors for easier access and we ensure that the installation is executed safely, efficiently, and successfully. We also manage and coordinate with Duke Energy on repairs and ongoing maintenance.
